**Measurement Methods:**

* Waist (Dài quần): Measure from the waist to the sole of the foot, adjust to fit.
* Hip = Vm (Vòng mông): Measure the circumference at the widest part of the hip.
* Width of pant leg (Rộng ống): Choose the desired width of the pant leg.

**Fabric Calculation:**

* Fabric width: 1.2m and above
* If hip circumference < 80cm: Length of pant + back + waistband
* If hip circumference > 80cm: 2 times (Length of pant + back + waistband)

**Drawing and Cutting:**

Step 1: Fold the fabric.

Choose the widest part of the garment to fold the fabric: waistband or pant leg.

Waistband = 1/4 of hip circumference + 1/10 of hip circumference + 1.5 cm seam allowance

Pant leg = Width of pant leg + 1.5 cm seam allowance

Example width of pant leg is 20-30cm.

**Drawing Example:**

For someone with the following measurements:

* Waist length – Dq (Dài quần) = 100cm
* Hip circumference – Vm (Vòng mông) = 88cm
* Width of pant leg – Ro (Rộng ống) = 35cm

Fold the fabric in half. AB = waist length = 100cm.

AC = waistband = 1/4 Vm + 1/10 Vm = 28.2cm, rounded up to 31cm.

Draw the back of the garment.

AA1 = back length = 1/4 Vm + 1cm = 22.2cm, rounded up to 23cm.

Draw the waistband:

CC1 = waistband = 1/4 Vm + 1/10 Vm = 21.6cm.

C1C2 = waistband fold = 1/20 Vm = 4.5cm.

Connect A1C2.

Mark point D so that A1D = 2/3 A1C2.

Draw the curved waistband A1DC1.

Draw the side seam and waistband:

G is the midpoint of C1C2.

BB1 = width of pant leg = 35cm.

Connect G and B1. Mark point H so that GH = 1/3 GB1. Draw curved C1H.

The side seam passes through points C1, H, and B1.

AB is the folded edge of the fabric.

Leave a seam allowance of 2-3 cm for the back of the garment, depending on size.

Leave a seam allowance of 1 cm for the waistband, side seam, and waistband fold.

Leave a seam allowance of 1-2 cm for the crotch seam.

**Sewing Process:**

Fold and press the edges of the fabric.

Sew the side seams.

Attach the waistband.

Sew the back of the garment, leaving a small gap for turning it right side out.

Turn right side out and press again.

Complete and finish the product by ironing it.
